My dear, I browsed through a past post on your weekly and saw something about your relationship status. I quickly DMed my brother and he confirmed.

Lol, the first thing I thought, "I want to hear how you came out". I'm glad you shared this cause it confirmed my suspicions: YOU DID IT LIKE A DORITHIAN! Haha, full on LGBTQ+ society and everything!

I'm really proud of you Arinze. Really proud!! Jisike o nna. Jisike! Thank you for being you! We deserve nothing less! ❤

Haha I'm happy he could clear the air. But yes, Doritians tend to do the most lol. Thank you so much, Ezinma. We should catch up soon. I miss you.

Thank you for sharing this story. You're more of a superhero than any DC superhero that has ever existed.

It takes incredible willpower to push through identifying as a queer person while society is trying to sink you.

I've been out and queer for about 2 years now. Like you, I didn't appear on NTA to make the announcement. I mean, I would if I could(Cos, drama). I'm lucky to have a supportive family and friends who empathise with my struggle. I wish everyone in our community has this sort of support.

I adore effeminacy and it saddens me each day how I had to 'man up.' This came after I was abused and he kept saying it was my fault 'I dey do like girl.' I know better now. I've searched for this 12 year old, but I'm afraid he's dead and it hurts I killed him.

I pray we continue to find strength and love ourselves as fiercely as we would if we could give our younger selves the love they deserved.

Wow! I'm so sorry you had to go through that 🥺 I hope you can share more of your story when you find the strength to. I think there's so much in there for people to learn from and be inspired by. But yes, we ought to give ourselves the love we deserve.

If there's one thing I really love, it's how you're owning and telling your story. Thank you, Zari !

Thank you for sharing. It’s sad how normalized homophobia is in Nigeria, and I’m glad you’re where you are now <3
