Hey, Arinze. First, I believe the three interact. If you filter individuals and apply parameters, the likelihood of having similar experiences and priorities in these communities exist. Unique as the individuals but each having a distinction without distinctions. This is why they might agree on why, how and what. But might disagree on how the why works.

Over the last year with the rise of Cancel Culture and its preponderance of religious practitioners, it has been hard to get an opinion that is as original as an individual. A lot of individuals are pursuing being politically correct rather than understanding positions and why they're taking them. I believe that's what scares me. Meh.

I strongly agree with you. Diversity of thought should be encouraged. During discourses, it's best we explore the person's universe. If we don't, we'll most likely be pulled into a mentally exhausting black hole.

3 steps to know who is worth engaging?

1. I recommend identifying whether or not it's genuine knowledge or something regurgitated. Genuine knowledge will have peculiar experiences and a chain of explanations for a position. Don't even try with the latter group.

2. Identify their sun and proceed to draw them towards yours.

3. Accept whether or not you want to adopt their pov. While you might not agree with them, there will be a lot of sense in what they believe in. It'll contribute in your own ever-expanding universe.

As usual, this was a brilliant piece. You've spoken frequently about how journaling has helped you. Can you please help me with ideas on how I can journal better? By that I mean, distilling subjects I want to enter and being consistent. Thank you, x.

Usually, I don’t continue conversations with people who I don’t have a consensus on “basic” things with but what you said here- But I believe that one can thoroughly understand the root of a thought without agreeing with either the thought or its underlying attributes- is making me rethink things. I think this will allow me give people more grace especially with how rampant cancel culture is. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts, I always learn something new.
